How wide is a 245/50/16 tire??

I am not very good with tire sizes at all. So how wide is a 245/50/16 tire? Is that pretty wide or no??

Thats the stock size tire for Z28's with the performance upgrade from the factory...otherwise you got 235's with a speed limiter. It's an approx 10 inch wide tire...suitible for stock Z28's but after you start modding...you will be spinning them like crazy.

its 245 mm wide (tread), 50 mm sidewall, and for a 16 inch rim. Those were stock tires on a z28 i believe. Go out and look at your tires, it will say on the side what size they are, that will give you a guide. I think the largest you would want to go on the 16 by 8 stock rim is 255 or 265...

245 mm is correct, the 50 mm side wall is wrong. 50 is the aspect ratio, meaning the height is 50% of the width of the tread. If you tire was 50 mm, that's like 2 inches. Not correct sir.

Well the tires that I am getting are Nitto drag radials, they are that size. Do you think they would be good for the mods that I have?

Yeah, 245 mm is about 9.65 inches. That would probably work, wider is better though

-"loose to 200hp Rustang if you don’t know how to launch on the street" wide
