Re: How is Trick Flow head performance?

its better to get your stockers ported with 2.02/1.60's the exhaust flows better but the intake sucks on the trick flows plus if your just adding the heads it will lower your compression and you will loose power. i got 278/230 out of my stockers and i think the numbers on the t/f were 245/176

I don't understand all this head/cam stuff with intake/exhaust lifting and all that garbage. Can someone clue me in?!

I wanna get a cam and heads. What is a good beefy cam? I don't understand what good heads are, and the 230/whatever for cam? I don't understand it.

I want it to be in the low 12's as of now, maybe high high 11's. This will be a street car on pump gas. It has 60,000 miles on it as of right now and is an A4 97 Formula. I would like between 400-420 HP I drive a lot of miles per year About 15k

Awesome, sounds good! How is this setup for daily driving? I go to Maryland and Deleware a lot But since you gave me that setup I supposed that is correct as I said I drive about 15k a year. Thanks man!

What about springs, lifters etc.? Does the cam I get from him have everything? What is the manley race valve, is it included with the heads then?

Re: How is Trick Flow head performance?

Awesome, thanks! I'll def. check that out

BTW...I'm not sure about installing this stuff by myself, as the downtime will be pretty extensive. I don't have the correct tools to do a mod like this, so I will probably have a dealer or speed shop to do it. I can't seem to find any speed shops in Richmond, VA.

I don't think I have the right tools, as I only have basic sockets/ratchets etc.

Im pretty sure that either a dealer wont do any of that work and even if they do, they would tear you a new one while they do it. Work hard on finding a speed shop or quickly befriend a local mechanic and maybe he will help you out.
