How to test O2 sensor

MY TA seems to be running terribly rich. It's guzzling gas like it's going out of style. Anybody know how to test if the O2 sensor is still good or wacky?

Volt meter

between ground and purple wire

Make sure the car has been running and everythings hot.

At approx. 2000 RPM the reading should bounce between 0-1 volts.
