How do i tell if my DIS is dying. It acts retarded.sometimes it runs greta no probs whatsoever. Then my dummy light pops up. My car atcs like it misses and ****. dies for no reason! and when it gets about 5000 acts like its hitting a rev limiter

check and see if the water pump is leakin water onto the optispark. I had a 94 trans am and it was doing the same thing. would act fine one minute, then start jerking and missing hard outta no where. It turned out there was moisture inside the dist. because of my bad water pump. It was leaking right outta the little hole under the pump. replaced pump. opti worked perfect afterwards.
