I recently put on LT4 springs and GMPP 1.6 RR's. I have stock manifolds w/ magnaflow catback. Do you think it would pull timing because of the RR's? I raced my car today and It seemed like it didnt pull hard at all uptop, but maby its in my head which is very likely. What type of thing do you use to detect KR from the PCM? (take into mind I am a 93). I am thinking of doing the KM desentizer using the resistors soon, but dont know ifi ts really retarding timing?

 

Not sure if you can do it with a 93 or not but i bought a cable and downloaded free scan it will tell how much kr your getting.

You need a scan tool that's compatable with 1993's, not sure if Diacom or scanmaster works.

Are you sure you set the correct valve lash when you replaced your RR's?

 

What is the point of buying an all-out scanner as opposed to buying a laptop? What is more effective?

 

Im pretty sure, I did a little more then 1/2 turn after reaching lash.I can definetly hear them when driving next to a wall so I doubt they are too tight, and loosing compresion. Which is what you are getting at right?

 

Also, I have a a laptop to use, so its just a matter of getting a cable which will read ffrom my OBD1 port and loading up a program on the laptop?
