Lower than normal oil pressure is the most tell tale sign. You can also drain your oil, run your fingers through the oil while it's draining to see if you can feel and see metal flakes as well as cutting open the oil filter.
Why do you ask?

Makes a very unusual noise coming from the bottom of the engine. If you hear a video of someone who has one, its pretty obivious.

I spun a rod bearing with no apparent effect on oil pressure. The noise is the best indicator.
