Are there any instructions on how to tear apart an LT1 throttle body? Going to clean mine up and get it powdercoated. Any help is appreciated.

 

Your biggest problem will be getting the screws out of the throttle blades. They are staked on the back side and installed with thread locker. If ya grind the stake off of the back with a Dremmel then make SURE ya put red LOCKTITE back on it. Mark the blades too for out/inside and L/R. Rest is pretty simple. Plug the throttle shaft holes so as not to get any coating in them.

 

How do you get the shaft out of the throttle body after you pull the throttle blades. It is held in by a retaining ring and I cant get it out. Help is appreciated.
