How to take apart alternator?

I'm stuck trying to remove the pulley from the alternator. Can anyone who has done this give a little guidance?

Once you remove the nut, you can remove the pulley... If its stuck, get a pulley puller...

Re: How to take apart alternator?

The nut is the hard part.. use air impact..
Or I one time used the allen wrench hole in the center and got a cheap socket that fit the nut and ground 2 flats in it... [that way you can put an allen wrench in the hole of the socket]
pipe wrench on the flats, smaller pipe on the allen wrench.. PB Blaster on the threads..
after some fighting with it it came off.. it's TIGHT tho..
Impact probably best tho maybe take it to a shop for just that process if you don't have one?
