how to replace coolant sensor

exactly what the title says.

How do you replace the coolant sensor?? My low coolant light is on, but i dont have low coolant. I figured this is what is wrong. Thanks guys!!

Its tight to reach,at least for me it was.

Get your new sensor,look at the clip,its on the inside,this will show you how to get the old one off.

Unplug the connector,then slide the metal wire clip back,and pull off the sensor,coolant will spill,you may want to catch it in a small pail under the car.

Slide the new one on and reclip it.

Do this with the engine cold.

Take off your rad cap and top up the rad,run your car until the thermostat opens and bleed your air out with the bleed screws.

Access is much easier if you remove the battery.

I just unplugged the sensor and check the fluid periodically. Takes 1 minute, it's free, and if you do routine maintanence you shouldn't have a problem. My .02.
