I am wondering how to remove the little black triangle piece behind the side windows because i want to spray them black again cause they've faded.

 

I would also like to know. I have "white rust" on the drivers side piece and I want to stop it before it gets worse.

 

i had to replace one of these on my girlfriends 01 firebird. if i remember correctly there are 3 bolts holding that piece on. 2 of them can be reached from inside the car (sitting in the back seat look behind the triangle piece to find the bolts). i believe the 3rd bolt can be reached on the bottom of the triangle (just lower the top down to get to it). its been awhile since i did it but it can be done.

 

can you just buy a new piece at the dealer? The coating on there doesnt look like something I can easily do myself and have it come out right

 

You can get that part from the dealer, but its not very cheap.

Its 10286318 for the right and 10286319 for the left. If you get them from www.gmpartsdirect.com for like 45 bucks a piece. It's more like 75 from the dealer.
