How Much Is The Z Worth
How Much Is The Z Worth
Curious to know what you guys think I could get for the z. I don't want offers just a honest answer as to what u think its worth.
95 z28- 6spd,t-tops,polo green, around 110,000 miles. Under 5,000 miles on new engine, 4 bolt mains, ported & polished heads,cc306 cam, hooker lts, mccleod clutch,4.10s,lcas,sfcs,cai,bryan tuned it. No dents. Car has a few nicks and scratches but the paint is still glossy. I think it should be good for mid to high 11s on a good day. (going by what my buddies car runs and we run neck and neck) but no track times yet. I would appreciate honest answers. Debating on selling it,and I have no idea what would be a fair price. thanks

go to cars.com. They have a black book online. Appears to be the same one as the small black books that dealers have. Put in your zip code and you'll see what a dealer is willing to give you. Keep in mind they're always going to try to give you the lowest possible amount.
As to what someone else might be willing to pay, really depends on when you find the person. Some like to buy stuff and do it themselves (like me). Others like to buy completed projects. Sometimes I wish I was in the ladder school of thought.
You bring up an interesting point, how to price our cars with mods. Clearly, more has gone into it than you'll ever get, the question is what's a fair ratio. I see guys all the time advertise "Have 60k in it, will take 22,500" or something along those lines....
