How much water?

How much water?

How much water do you guys usually run in your lt1? Do you guys just use nothing but coolant?...thanks Tony

I thought the bottles that are already pre-mixed are 50/50? Just buy the pre-mixed coolant. But from my knowledge, it should be at least 70/30 mixture. I could be wrong, but thats my understanding.

It depends on your climate. Being from Texas I think you're safe putting more water than coolant--like a 60/40 mix. I typically go 50/50 just because the weather here varies so much. Remember to use distilled water rather than tap water.

I believe that the additional minerals and deposits found in ordinary tap water, while approved for our bodily consumption, can be harmful to a coolant system on the LT1, corrosive and such.

Distilled can be pre-brought at your local grocery store. .89 a gallon or around there. I've worked in grocery stores all my life

Why dont u buy the pre-mixed coolant? Cheaper and easier in my book then to do it the hard way
