My buddy is installing a CC306, porting and polishing his heads, blah blah blah, and is selling his used 1.6 rr's and offered them to me. He hasn't decided on the price and has pretty much left it up to me. How much would you pay? They have about 10,000 miles on them.

They're around $300 new, so offer him $150. They should be worth about 10-15rwhp. I would recommend upgrading the valve springs as well.

 

10-15rwhp?! Try something like 5-7 rwhp...unless you already have a cam or something there's no way you'd see that much from just switching out rockers...

 

200 is about avg..[ maybe a little less for a friend..]

If they are self adjusting, they have to be worth way more than that!

 

saw self aligning go for around 200 to 225 new on ebay when i bought mine about 6 months ago.

 

I have a thread in here somewhere talking about a rocker swap. You can check the front page of my Cardomain website at the bottom shows my last dyno run. All I swapped out was the springs and added CC 1.6 Pro Mags. Got a 7rwhp gain, and 2 lb ft of torque. A cam addition will show a little more.
