I'm refilling my ATF today, how much does it take? Do I need extra after I start the car and it fills up the torque converter?

Thanks

If your just dropping the pan, and changing whats in that, then you'll need roughly 4 1/2 quarts. Start with 4, then start it up and check the level and go from there.

Since it's checked running... just add some, wait, check, add, wait, check, etc., til it's full..

Actually, a line connected to my tranny cooler blew off, and all the ATF basically got pumped out of the car. I put in 3 quarts... I think I'll try one more after I drive it for a minute
