In two words, "A TON". I keep thinking my rockers were coming loose, then when I'd pull the covers they were fine. Put the LT4 covers on and I can't here them at all now.

I think they helped quite a bit. I also like the look of them too. However the reason I bought them was to reduce some of the valvetrain noise.

They are "composite" and not regular 'ol stamped steel so I guess they don't let as much noise pass through. I haven't had any experience either way.

From a GM parts counter. They are not cheap, around $260 I think. They cut down on valve train noise a ton, and they look way cool.

If this helps, I was worried about them when I did my head/cam package because I was going with chromemoly pushrods and Pro Mags. I'm glad I didn't now though, because my setup is whisper quiet. No clacking, nothing at all, which really suprised me. I don't know if it's a freak occurence or not, but you could always install and set the lash, run it to see how it sounds, and then make your descision based on what you hear. Could be money saved.

Are you running 1.6 rockers. If you are I dont see how yours were quiet. I have Pro Mags on my Impala and I cant stand the noise.

I have the 1.6rrs as well and it's ultra loud, you can definately tell when one gets loose, but when it's all tight it sounds like a muffled train. I could definately use those covers.

Part number? That site is pretty much worthless without part numbers.
