How Much Power Is Lost From Knock?

I've never heard an approximation of how much HP is lost due to false knock? When I uncap my headers and make a WOT run I see anywhere from 10-11 degrees of knock. After I cap them I still see some, around 3-5, but that's nothing compared to the 10-11. Anyway I was curious as to how much HP is being lost with false knock? I've heard that for 3 degrees of knock the LS1's lose around 20-25 hp. What do the LT1's lose? Thanks.

I do not think there is an answer to your question since it will vary from setup to setup.

I'm not looking for an exact number just an idea? For an internally stock LT1 with bolt-on's (exhaust, CAI ect.) Just a guesstimate?

Hard to even guess. I have seen cam'd cars with a ton of knock losing 15-20hp if not more.

Does LT4 work on a mostly stock car for making better performance? Or does it have to be more mods?

If you made your car sound louder by installing headers, cutout or headers than the lt4 km is a must

The LT4 KM is great for cars with mods were false knock maybe picked up from exhaust rattle, lopey cams, roller rockers, etc....
