How much to port and polish lt1 heads
hey man, you've gotta let me know what your hp/tq # are when you're done, you're going in pretty much the same direction Im going to take my car. anyway, you can try HotWheelz at 2451 E. Tremont ave. I was there once before and they said that they did head porting, but as for the quality/price, I have no idea. I hear alot of good thing about Loyd Elliot, but he's in TX.
I sent mine to Lloyd Elliot from this board. I have no regrets. Good communication and ports looked really good when I got the heads back. Think mine were flowing 265 on the intake which is good considering I am running stock sized valves do to being broke :O
Loyd is in Texas. What I did was buy a used set and send them to him to work. I will sell my old heads once the ported ones are installed. Keeping the stock valves he charged me $700 + shipping. I have no regrets. I don't know how long he normally takes because I told him to take his time as I was in no hurry.

There's LLoyd as mentioned, and there's also Phil Odom, goes by "AI" on here.
He's finishing up a GP right now though, so he's probably pretty busy.

Tracey Scott does fantastic work. He will get your stock LT1 castings to flow in the mid 280s intake and 210s exhaust. I think his price is around 1200 and it may take him a little while because he is doing so many other peoples right now. If you get some LT4s even better. He just did a set of them that flowed 317cfm! He knows his stuff send him an email and get some more info. He does all of my work that I cant do myself. www.ts-performance.com
