I was going to same the same, must of had quite a bit of knock retard.

I have Crane Gold 1.6 RRs here waiting to be installed and from all the researching I've done I think 16hp is the common gain. I think that was to the wheels.

Well I guess im considering that a cai is 25 for 200 Nitrous is 150 for 600 etc. I was just expecting more power from them. And actually how do they increase power if they just open and close the valves.

that is a question someone more knowledgeable will have to answer.

i'm going to guess it allows ffor the valve to stay open a tad bit longer allowing more air in/exhaust to escape... ok ok, i'm stopping before i make myself look too stunned in this category

Valve will not stay open longer, but will lift up higher in the same time span.

YOu know how everyone is always posting head flow numbers on here? Notice how as the lift numbers go up, so does the airflow? 1.6 rockers give you more lift, thus allowing more air to travel through the heads, even though the valves are open for the same amount of time.

"considering that a cai is 25 for 200 "

what cai are you using? i'd be impressed to see 15hp from one! typically it's more like 10hp.

you must actually beleive what the manufacturer tells you. iin that case, look into the tornado...it'll gain you about 20hp and 5% increasse in gas milage (j/k)
