How much is this Firehawk worth?

My friend is buying a 95 Firehawk with the following mods:

58mm TB
SLP headers
Lingenfelter cam
Lingenfelter heads
Lingenfelter programming
Ported Intake
1.6 rockers
Borla Exhaust
Weld 17" wheels
3.73s
6-speed
Strut Tower Brace
35,000 miles
The car runs low 12s.
Very clean inside and out.

Keep in mind stock Trans Ams with the same mileage are going for $12G-$14G u.s. here.

For me it would be easy to get sucked in becasue of the Lingenfelter work. His performance history makes people pay more. Not that it's any better, it's just the name plus having a firehawk on top of that. I wouldn't spend more than the price range you posted though. I would also like to see all documentation on the work, history, ect. People that keep good logs are rare and it signals me to believe that it is these people that tend to take better care of there car. Also important is owner history. If the car has traded hands 3 or more times I would look to see if it was the car and not just for personal interest. The market for a modded more expensive car is actually low. The bank doesn't take any of that into consideration so the car would have the same loan value as a "regular" firebird or maybe a "regular" firehawk. If the sale is personal and not from a sales lot I would let it sit and keep touching base with the seller from time to time. Quick sales are rarer and he may cave for you asking price after a few months. Patience saves money. My friend just bought a 65 mustang with perfect original paint, all original, with a locked up 289 v8 that was also original for $500 bucks. The owner wanted $4000 for it. He didn't advertise it at all and after about a year finally sold it for nothing. This is an extreme example but if you take the "I like to buy it, but don't need to have it" attitude he may be more likely to come down some.

I know someone selling a '94 (I think it's a '94) Firehawk for about that same price, but with a 396-inch MTI motor in it. Only about 10,000 miles on that motor. It's VERY reliable, and makes over 400 hp at the wheels. I can get more info if you wanna see it.

Classic Car Consumer Prices

1995 Pontiac FIREBIRD
Firehawk

MSRP
Original Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price when new N/A
Low Retail Average Retail High Retail
Base Price $14,900 $18,300 $22,300

Total Price $14,900 $18,300 $22,300
Other Vehicle Information
Model Number: N/A
Weight: N/A
Value Explanations
Low Retail Value
This vehicle would be in mechanically functional condition, needing only minor reconditioning. The exterior paint, trim, and interior would show normal wear, needing only minor reconditioning. May also be a deteriorated restoration or a very poor amateur restoration. Most usable "as-is".

Note: This value does not represent a "parts car".
Average Retail Value
This vehicle would be in good condition overall. It could be an older restoration or a well-maintained original vehicle. Completely operable. The exterior paint, trim, and mechanics are presentable and serviceable inside and out. A "20-footer".
High Retail Value
This vehicle would be in excellent condition overall. It could be a completely restored or an extremely well maintained original vehicle showing very minimal wear. The exterior paint, trim, and mechanics are not in need of reconditioning. The interior would be in excellent condition. Note: This value does not represent a "100 Point" or "# 1" vehicle *.
* "100 Point" or "# 1" vehicle is not driven. It would generally be in a museum or transported in an enclosed trailer to concourse judging and car shows. This type of car would be stored in a climate-regulated facility.

Here's the spec's on that firehawk...

1994 Firehawk #306 of 500 (68,xxx miles)
Motorsport Technologies Inc (MTI) 396ci Stroker LT1
Engine Details:
Callies 3.875 Crank
Oliver 5.85" Rods
JE/SRP 11.xx Pistons
Completely Ported GM LT1 Castings
CC306
Hooker Shorty Headers
!Cat Pipe and High Flow Cat w/ Flanges
SLP 2OTL Exhaust
LS1 Aluminum Driveshaft
4.56 Gears (Fresh)
KBDD Sub Frame Connectors
MTI Race Clutch
MTI Custom Dyno Tuning

.......and much more I'm probably forgetting. I have about $15-16k in receipts for just mods alone.

The Engine has approximately 10k miles. It dyno'd 430rwhp at the wheels after correction. Worth noting is that besides the shorty Headers visually this car is 99.9% stock. I consider this car the ultimate street racer. A few examples being, FULL Emmissions equipment under hood (EGR, AIR), No TB Bypass, No Flashy underhood equipment. Looks Stock. Note that with the addition of an Electric Water Pump, some Long Tube headers, and possibly a different exhaust, this car *could* lay down numbers in the 450rw range (Just speculation).

Car has run a best of 11.55@119mph on motor (Would need more safety equipment to do so consistently at your local track).

>>>>in the past he's even offered to trade the motor for one good running LT1 + cash.

The seller has all the receipts for this particular car.

What the buyer likes about the car is the streetability. It will be a daily driver.

Compstall: If he were to consider that car the seller would have to drive it up here to Canada.

Brent, it runs great. I had a little scare when the oil pan lost some of its clearancing during shipment, but used a hammer and all is well. I'll really get a good feel for it once I can figure out why my converter is not locking up though
