How much does a new gauge cluster cost?

does anybody know whats the cost of a new cluster for my 96 z28, or where to get a price from, thanks

One time a dealership wanted to replace mine, it was in the $300-$330 range.

ok thanks, i really dont want to buy a used one but if i did how would i change the mileage, or would i be stuck with whats on it already

There are places that can change the mileage for you. I would imagine anywhere that sells speedometers would be able to do it for you, or would have a place where they send it to. When they replaced mine because they thought the engine temp guage was failing, they sent out this new cluster and had the place adjust the mileage on it to match...ehh that wasn't the problem so I have my old cluster back.

If you have the mechanical readout, you can remove the odometer/trip meter as a unit and put it in the replacement cluster. No need to have anything adjusted.

so your saying that the new cluster wouldnt have the readout in it?

I didn't mean to infer that. What I meant was you could just swap the odo/trip meter unit to retain your mileage (without having to do anything else). I assume a "new" cluster would be complete with everything.

Just call up one of those fbody junkyards and pickup a used cluster for around $80 with less miles on it

what did you do about the mileage, did you change it to match what you had on the car
