How much do you all weight(cars)?

After i got my car back together i went down to the local elevator to wieght my car and it was 3300 lbs without me in it..is this pretty light or not? I have removed the a/c, egr, air pump, rear seat, front bumper support and fog lights...not alot of weight reduction but what do you guys think?

3450 without me in it, 1/2 tank of gas. I havent done any weight reduction -- if anything, i got some extra pounds from the subframes i added. Also, its a ws6 trans am, so the hood and spoiler add a few over a camaro or a formula.

30lbs atleast. Mines a 95 too. I have always heard that formulas were the lightest of all the F-bodies, and that camaro Z28s were the heaviest, even heavier than the trans am. I'm anxious to ssee what everyone else weighs. Also Automatics weigh about 40lbs less than 6 speeds.

Kyle what king of car do you have? Please put it in your sig with the trans type so we can better answer your questions you should have any.

Where could the extra weight come from? The only thing to my knowledge that is heavier on the camaro than TA/firebird is the hood.

My formula was actually kinda heavy. 3500 without me when I got it. Damn heavy leather seats!

I have no idea. I've just heard thats the way they are. their front bumper support is also plastic and not styrofoam like firebirds'. We'll see what the numbers show. I have just observed by average weights that formulas are the lightest and it seems firebirds weigh less than camaros.

Surely the rear spoiler has to add some weight the firebird t/a. I would only be able to guess as to how much... maybe 30-40 lbs?

btw -- update my sig for yall -- again i weigh in about 3450 with setup listed.

Re: How much do you all weight(cars)?

Well i dont have any evidence any weighs more than the other I imagine the camaro's hatch weighs as much as the trans ams though. They are both about the same material as each. My front fenders are ABS, my bumper support was styrafoam, the hood is composite, and my doors are composite. What material are your parts made of?

Re: How much do you all weight(cars)?

I know TAs have wider quarter panels which might contribute to their weight as well as the ground effects, high rise spoiler and other aesthetics.

Re: How much do you all weight(cars)?

Either you guys are too fat or you've got WAY to much crap in your trunk. Some of you way in at 3700?? How can you even get your cars to move??

My Formula weighs in at 3200 lbs on the dot without me in it. (I only way 145 soaking wet)

Since then, I've removed the heating, the A/C. Front and rear bumper supports, air bags, and got rid of the sub-encloser in the back.

When I finish up the 396 this spring and everythings back together, I hope to have it at 2900 and change . the car should be pretty fun to drive with the power I plan on making with the stroker
