What is the tube running from psngr header to head?
I just pulled out my engine for a rebuild (a project that has been delayed a few months now). There is a flextube that runs from the rear o the passenger head to the rear of the passenger header which is always a PITA to unbolt whe i've done this in the past...i was a little careless and broke the tube while yanking on it (don't ask). Anyways...i was wondering what exactly is the purpose of this tube (increase vacuum using exhaust pressure?) and what would be the consequences of me just plugging up the 2 holes and not getting a new tube since i'm guessing a dealer is gunna charge me around $50 for the stupid thing.

So if i remove it do i need to remove the rest of hte EGR equipment or adjust the PCM in order to keep it from going wack or does the EGR tube make too little a difference?
Right before i read your reply i went to shoebox's site and found out it's the EGR tube...but still am ignorant on what effects it will have.
