how much can the stock crank take?

i have no idea, so i cant even guess, but how much can teh stock crank take?

a plentiful i assume?

600 to the wheels? (not constant, only when i need to turn up the boost)

cuz i'm trying to figure out how much it'll cost me once this engine explodes from boost... will i need to replace the crank with it, or are the stock ones good for a beating?

I know two local guys running in the 500's (rwhp) on the stock crank with boost and a small shot of nitrous with no problems.

Jason Warren is running mid 9's @ 141+ mph on a stock LT1 crank. He's spraying a 300 shot from start to finish. I'm also running 11.0's @ 126 on a completely stock bottom-end LT1 with a 175 hit.

In all honestly if a good 4340 crank is in your budget then why not upgrade it, but I have seen many, many high horsepower 500+ wheel running bone stock cranks. I think on a 2 bolt LT1 you will have to worry about block integrity before you worry about breaking a stock crankshaft

well engine blew up, so its time for a rebuild...

that 600 dollars right now i dont have, so imma have to use the stock crank, i have no other choice =/ that also would have to grinded/balanced which would run me even a bit more...
