How much cam surge can be programmed out?

I just did Lloyd heads and a 226/234 cam. Im getting all kinds of cam surge even at 2k. I can hardly drive through town. I have to keep it at like 2500 rpms. Im gunna get a dyno tune here real soon. I heard once that almost all surge can me programmed out? Is this true? Also, after rompin on my car, i noticed my passenger side header is rattling on my crossmember at idle and low rpms and my headers hit the ground on even small bumps. Has anyone ever tried to put some spacers on the motor mounts to lift the engine like 1/2 inch? How possible is this? Sorry for all the questions.

99.9% of it can be programmed out, the only time my car does it is in reverse with no throttle at all....

yep with the right timing adjustments you can nearly eliminate all cam surge.

Tell Bryan about your problem.. maybe he can adjust some things for you.

It says that that was before his heads/cam package, I'm just wondering for comparison purposes.

Thanks guys. Thats what I wanted to here. Those times are before I did my heads, cam, 52mm TB, 30#injectors, and long tubes. Havent been to the strip since the new mods. Ill put my new 1/4 mile times in my sig when I do.

I'm still curious about your 1/8 MPH before the major mods. I did an 8.64@79.9 with a 1.97 60'.... wass your MPH over 80? I would assume so since your 60' wasn't quite as good.

Nestromo,

Its was a 84.39 MPH. I still dont see where you are going with this though? You have Drag radials. I had worn out junk street tires.
