How Many, and Where are all the Grounds For the Engine?

I am trying to track down an ignition problem and I am going to look and see if my grounds to the engine from the frame are ok.

Where are the ground straps hooked up from the factory on the engine, and where do they all go?

I know there are a couple at the coil/head, but are there any more?

I will add some if need be, but I am hoping that there is just some corrosion at the ones that I have.

Any information or past experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Just off the top of my head:

-Main battery ground in front of the RH motor mount on the block

-braided ground strap and 3 other ground wires on the outside coil stud

-small black/wht ground wire coming out of the starter harness that attaches to the block

If you are wanting to trace all this stuff, you should think about getting at factory manual.

Thanks for the reply. I will go over all the connections you mentioned and make sure they are clean. I have a feeling that the ones near the coil are causing me a little grief.

About the service manual, yeah, I know. I want to get one, but I don't want to take out a small loan to get it. Thanks again,
Jacob
