Well, considering the Subject of the thread 'How many automatics out there?' I would think most the M6 guys aren't even reading this.

 

I have a auto.

 

I saw a production list somewhere on the net for LT1s and the autos WAY out numbered the M6s.... for a couple of years there was a shortage of 6-speeds so you could only order an auto if you couldn't find one. I think that's one reason why Borg-Warner sold the T-56 to Tremec cause they couldn't keep up with the demand.

I don't know what to choose actually.... i was an auto until last september. lol

 

4L60-E - it shifts fast & hard.

I have a built A4, shift kit and stall. M6's are nice but I'll keep my A4.

 

A4!! I smoke you with the top down, one hand on the wheel, and holding a cup of coffee in the other.

 

I've never drank coffee. Besides, there is "a cupholder big enough for a slurpee" in the center console.

Wanna race? she's a top down terror! and gets 30mpg highway.

to choose from m6 or a4 you really have to keep in concideration your plans with the car. I would have bought an auto if i wanted to build up a nice consistent track car and not have to use two hands to drive constantly. I love the M6, and the rational behind it is selfexplanitory.

 

You have got to be kidding me. I always get one of the larger size slurpees and i end up holding onto it with 1 hand or sticking it between my legs. The cupholder in the center console is garbage. The only thing it holds well is a can of soda. No big gulps or super sized mc donalds cups will fit.
