how long should it take
how long should it take
how long should it take to rebuild a 396 stroker? i upgraded the rods, cams and block. shops had my car for 4 months. debating on getting it out and taking it somewhere else, last convo he said 3 more weeks or so....
Re: how long should it take
Did they give you a time estimate when you dropped it off with them? If they did and it's way past the deadline, I'd drop by unannounced and ask to see the car and their progress.

Re: how long should it take
Find out what is holding them up. I had to wait 5 months for Callies to do a production run on their one-piece RMS Stealth crankshafts.
I would think a responsible shop would keep you updated on the status of the build, and provide you with a heads-up if parts availability was holding things up.

i proved everything all at once one month after they pulled the motor and gave me a part list. i went to the shop today my car was on a lift with k-member on the grond under it. i ask where my motor was and they said machine shop still has it he said " they are having to resize the rods". am lost on that one i just bought them new. i asked for there # he said it in his phone he left in his truck which wife had. i told him he not getting another dime til the motor in the car he said he'd have it by friday.
