How long are our shocks supposed to last?

Guys I was just wondering how long shocks were supposed to last on the 4th gens. Good friend of mine has 103k on his and the car still drivers very well used to that was something that needed to be replaced every 50-100k what kinda intervals are most of you getting on yours?

My shocks were totaly shot at 50k miles. The car used to sway and lean in the turns. It was scary. The best mod I have ever done is to replace the stock shocks. They are junk. I think GM put buick shocks in our cars.

Couldn't have said it any better myself. Seems like only people who upgrade shocks realize just how bad those De-crapons actually are. After the QA-1 swap it was like a totally different car all together. Couldn't belive it...had me scratching my head too. Those shocks don't belong on these cars....I"ve saved the De-carbons..trying to figure out a constructive way to destroy them.

I have heard around 50k for stock shocks. Mine were about shot at 50k so that is probably pretty close

However, I've got 105k on my Bilsteins (factory upgrade for the SS) and they seem "OK".
