I did my waterpump and opti myself in about 7 hrs, 1st time ever workin on my LT1 minus oil changes and brake jobs... I got dynomax shorties (95 style) with a borla Y-pipe, how long should these take to install and any tips or special tools I'll need, IM NOT USING AIR TOOLS EITHER>... should I soak the bolts in pb blaster or something the night b4? Thanks guys...

Give yourself a long day if you've never done it before. I did my MACs in about 6 - 7 hours by myself. There's several install guides available with tons of tips.

I used this guide when I did mine: http://www.fastblackcar.com/camaro/mac_headers.html

I'd plan on spending a weekend in the garage if I were you. The Dynomax headers should be really easy since you probably won't have to mess with the steering column and it should all bolt together. But you never know, things don't always fit perfectly...
PB Blaster is your friend, especially on those AIR/EGR fittings on the stock exhaust manifolds.
And route those plug wires so they don't get burned.

Look into an over-the-valve cover setup to prevent them from burning.

it took me a *** load to remove my stock exhaust manifolds when i was putting in my edelbrocks. infact it took 20 mins to remove the driverside and 1 hour to remove the passenger side( i sawsall'd the y pipe and air! and started to unbolt the manifold.

to install my edelbrocks after i put the plugs back in (10 mins)and removed the steering linkage took me like 30 mins tops for the manifolds. the y pipe was harder but anyways!!!
