How long

does it take oil to come up thru the pushrods?

I took my valve cover off today to check the rockers out...
i took it off when cold and after sitting for a couple weeks and after starting it took about 70 seconds before the oil started coming out of the pushrods...

is this normal because i also have extremely high oil pressure?

it's an LT1...

First, what is extremely high? Second 70 seconds is about on par for how long a cold started motor would take for the oil to reach the top end. You could always crank and hold rpms at 2,000 to ensure it gets there quicker.

I would bet that's a sending unit issue. I can't imagine your pump actually producing that pressure.
