How to keep my motor/tranny alive for a loooong time?

I think this is one of the biggest keys to long engine life. Don't drive it hard when the oil is still cold. Also, do not idle it too long when you first start it up, only run it for 5-10 seconds and then pull away slowly. Your engine will warm up faster by driving it than it will by idling it.

i have 2:73's and i blew the rear in the worst way... not just slipping clutches... i mean IT BLEW... took off the cover and teeth fell out...

same with the tranny...
PIECES

im gettin a rebuild with a 2800 stall... b&M build-up with a shift kit and a tranny cooler.... as well as a slp fan switch...


advice: don't beat on it...
