How to keep down exhaust/rattle noise inside the car???

I need to make my exhaust resonance keep down little bit (I have ****master 80, and electric cut-out-closed 90% of the time). I need something to keep down the exhaust noise/ and all those annoying rattles inside the car. I was thinking about Dynamat, but it is too heavy and too expensive for me. Another option is DYNASHIELD spray (dynamat in the can). IS there a simpler way than removing all carpeting and spraying the whole floor with that spray?? Can I just spray it under the car (and use some undercoating on it??)…Thanks guys..
Sebastian

ps. Yes I have Subframe Connectors

spraying undercoating underneath will reduce the noise and vibration, sound has a harder time vibrating off of rubber than it does steel, plus it keeps the under carage looking good. Of course the only drawback is the weight, you must use lots of it to make it worthwile to stop the noise. Basically there is no way around deadner, it will all be heavy, and the less noise you want the more you need. The dynamat works good, but there are others that ae cheaper and work better. I would post this in the stereo forum. You would be surprised, if you put that stuff everywhere it makes a pretty big difference. I'm at the same spot as you, I need to spend the money, cause the exhaust is to loud for my tastes. The can spray stuff requires many cans. I used about 6 on the bottom of my car, and it really wasn't anything thick at all. A professional sprayer that coats real thick would be a better bet. If I were you I would spray underneath and add some deadner to the inside, you'll be completely set. Also check out your exhaust gaskets, if you have any on your headers. I just checked mine, and they were wasted, I mean nothing at all left except just a think burnt out piece of metal. These were no cheapys either, they lasted only 4 months, next time I'm going with aluminum, they won;t blow out like the paper ones do. Exaust leaks even small ones will make lots of noise, I suspect even your cutout might be leaking, I hear those electric ones do.

If/when you get tired of your droning exhaust put in a moroso spiral twister bullet in the I pipe after the cutout if you have the room.
It will cut the noise by 10 db or so and hardly affect performance at all.

BQuiet Brown Bread.

2 - 3 layers in the back and 1 layer in the front. You will be very happy.
