I took my car for a couple of quick rides, and forgot to put the back bracket on the alt. ( the one that goes to the head ) Well now after the header install, it dont want to line up right. Do i need it, because it is supported very well without it?

You can just throw it in my box of junk parts... it wont fit with and really I dont think it did much supporting of the alternator anyway.

 

I took it off 5 years ago to put on the corvette covers and haven't had a problem. I think GM went a little over board in case of accidents ( altenator comes off ).
