How hot is the MSD 6al supposed to get?

How hot is the MSD 6al supposed to get?
Just wondering if it was natural for the sucker to get hot, really hot. Is there a best place to locate it aswell? I have mine right behind the driver's side light, and the opening were the intake used to be is right under it. Think that is a decent place? " I have the ram air, so I have alotta room where the old airbox used to be"

Yea that's a fine place for it. I think I'm going to relocate my battery to the back, and put some sort of ignition box where the battery was. So basically mine will be in the same place yours is, just on the other side of the bay.
