How hot do you operate?

Using your instrument cluster gauge, what is your estimate on how hot you operate on just a leisurely drive(no beating on it). I'm running about 210, used to run 185ish.

160 degree thermostat shows about 1/8 of the way up the gauge. Stays real steady weather cruising or racing.

Mine stays dead on a quarter of the guage if I remember correctly. I'm so use to it staying at the same place I don't even remember where it sits at.

You can run the 160° thermostat with no alteration to the computer.

fan switch is a little pricey but well worth it. I ran at the track last year with it and was very inconsistent. After installing the switch my runs were all within one tenth of a second.

No need to worry. The stock fans are programmed to come on at 226°, so you are not in any danger.

175 to 185 with a 160 thermostat and the fans re-programed.
