how hot do ceramic coated heders really get??.....im soo confused on weather to get theh OVC wires or keep them in stock location..i like the way the OVC work but if i was to get somthing like MSD 8.5mm wires will they stand up to the temps if i keep them in the stock place??? thanks guys
I still have my wires routed in the stock location and they seem to be doing fine so far, but I also have been meaning to throw on a set of ovc wires that I have. Headers are probably hot enough while running that If you grabbed ahold of it you'll leave your skin behind.
Coated headers still get extremely hot. I have an OVC setup with my Jet-Hots and it works great. Can't imagine keeping the stock location for the wires...that would be a huge PITA. Save yourself the trouble and make it easy on yourself and go OVC.

It gets pretty hot under the hood with coated headers, but they also cool down pretty fast! I run my plug wires under the headers, but I also have heat reflective tape wrapped around certain portions of the wires for added protection...no problems so far.
