Always on is good, and thats how most stock cars (drag cars) run it. Your fans burn out but so what 30 bucks every 3 years or so, big deal. I have a fan mod from Pep Boys for 21 bucks, i set a temp at when they turn on, and when i turn the car off, they stay on til it gets to that temp, works great for me!

 

try checking the temp with an external temp gauge like the ones used for checking a/c systems, maybe your gauge or sender is off

 

yea my s10 isnt designed like your guys radiators. it is just there right in front of the motor. Im still puzzled. Today it was like 85 out and instead of putting it in over drive i just kept it in drive the whole time on the highway and it didnt go above 190.
