How to hook up adjustable shift light with the Delteq setup?
How to hook up adjustable shift light with the Delteq setup?
I am going to be installing a ProForm adjustable shift light, just wondering how it hooks up and if the Delteq system makes it any differnt.
Thanks,
James

i'm not really sure but i think the delteg basically imitates the design of the LSx ignition, one coil per cylinder.
that being the case, i know you have to run the ProForm in 4cyl mode (cutting both wires) for it to work on an LSx
maybe give proform a call, they helped me out once

No, it is a caddy northstar design... Also call waste spark. There are 2 cylinders per coil. I'll give Pete at Delteq a call and find out the best way to install the shift light.

Are you just needing a tach signal? If so, find A 13 in the RED connector of the PCM and splice into that. See this:
http://web.camaross.com/forums/showt...ht=Tach+signal
Open that page and click on "1995 pinouts" in Shoebox's reply. That will show you a diagram of the connector and confirm that it is pin 13 that sends the factory tach signal.
It's not that difficult. Remove the PCM and find the red connector. Find the white wire going to pin 13 and splice into it. That way it doesn't involve the Delteq system at all. I spliced in an extra wire while I was at it in case I ever needed another tach signal input.
