There is a local speed shop that i'm gonna have doing my engine work and they said that since the car is computer controlled it wouldn't be a good idea to go over a 11.1 compression for fear of detonation since i wanted to keep runnin 93 in my car. Another thing that we talked about was instead of porting out the stock heads was using Dart heads for the car and doing a 5 angle valve job port match and light porting and such. I didn't even think Dart made a reverse flo style head for a late model LT1. Anyone using these? One more ?, the comp cams "306" grind that everyone talks about what part number is that and is it a hydr. roller cam or not?

 

I havent heard anything about Dart heads for LT1s and I have 11.83:1 compression ratio on pump gas with no knock retard. I have a buddy with a 388ci LT1 that ran 12.3:1 with no problem either. Alot of people with built motors have 11.1 and higher compression ratios.
