Yeah, to launch off the line or should I just floor it? Which would be quicker? Thanks.

Stomping from a stop, my stock '93 w/ 3.23 rear breaks the new Michellin Pilot's loose for a good 2-3 seconds. Gets sideways a little too.

I'd imagine it depends mostly on your tires. What are they?

Yeah, it fishtails somewhat when I step on the accelerator pretty hard.

Are 3.23's ok with a stall? I thought you had to upgrade to 3.73 or it would bog. Or can you use a lower 2400 stall with it for streetability?

I think he means torquing the brakes, power-braking, whatever. Drag radials would probably be needed to launch better.

The idea is to give it the most throttle you can without breaking the tires loose. Otherwise that power isn't getting to the ground...

But with tires spinning, the engine isn't under as much load, so revs climb faster and you're getting deeper into the powerband, for when you finally hook. Same end result as a TC, right? I still assume it's better to just keep traction though.
