you will probably get a better response in the one of the tech sections, but i dont think its too hard...i hope to replace mine once it gets warmer and i cant deal with waiting 5 minutes for my passenger side window to go down

whoever said it only takes an hour must know a few tricks. I replaced both of mine ('95 also) and it took awhile. You have to take out the window by drilling out the rivets that hold the window onto the tracks. Then if the motor doesn't work at all that is difficult because there are only a few cut-outs to work into. It is possible but it takes patience and a little figuring out. Then you have to drill out the rivets that hold the motor in place, which also has a huge coil spring attached to it which must be held in place or it will definetly mess up a few things when the motor and it come apart from eachother. I can go on with details if you want me to. Let me know.

The guide link in Brent's post above makes it very easy with none of that hard work needed. No messing with the window or the spring.

Yulp, it only takes about an 1hr - 1 1/2. Hopefully I'll never have to do it again though!

Took me an hour with two extra sets of hands to help and one was a certified mechanic. The gay part was holding the window up while another person tried to hurry and get it done. Those windows are get pretty heavy after holding them for 15 minutes or even longer.

I can hardly wait to do my passenger side one... its almost dead.

you HAVE to get someone to hold the window IMO.
