How Hard Is It To Replace Starter Motor????
well, my starter motor is on its last leg and its gonna need replacing soon. how hard is it to replace? i plan on doing it by myself and i have a small amount of wrench turning experience. i can do most of the problems i have encountered on my own, but im just not sure about this one. on a scale of 1 - 10, how hard are we talking?
also, if anyone knows of anyplace/anyone to get a fix it guide from (i checked project trans am, fbod hideout, etc etc - nothing) i would be very appreciative.
thanks fellas.

You might want to spray your y-pipe bolts down with some wd-40 or the like the night before and go easy on them or they will break
You will definetly have to drop the pipe if its factory because it is right in the way, and yes its just 2 bolts and 2 nuts that hold the wires for the sol.

Jack up car
Disconnect battery
Remove two bolts holding starter
Lower slowly and disconnect two wires on starter
Reverse prcedure for install
I'm not sure on the y-pipe as I have had long tubes for some time.
