Stock exhaust manifold?
I would replace them with some headers than putting back on the stock set.

Do you just want to take off the exhaust manifolds? Or take off the heads?

The exhaust manifolds is not hard, basically just unbolt it. The hard thing is getting it off of the ypipe, you'll need some liquid nails...

I want to take the heads out. I have to change the valve seals and i was thinking of getting new springs and 1.6 rockers. I know that I can do that with out taking heads out but I don't have air compressor to keep valves from droping in cylinder.

Is it really worth taking off the intake manifold and the heads just for new springs and rockers? You will have to buy new gaskets for the heads, intake manifold, and exhaust manifold. All that stuff isn't cheap. Borrow a compressor from someone... that would be cheaper even if you rented one. With the air compressor all you have to do is take off the alternator and valve covers to get to everything. Just trying to save you some agrevation.

Just bring the piston to the top in each cylinder one at a time (you can actually do 2 at a time if you know the pattern) and do the springs and rocker.

Another trick is to stuff a piece of cotton rope into the cylinder filling the empty space.
