How hard to get to the EGR??

Just wondering how hard it would be to get to the EGR to clean it out. Is this something a mechanic should do or could someone with just basic machinically ability do it?? Thanks

also..where the hell is the EGR?

Its very easy. took me about 10 min to remove the old one and replace it with new one. youll need to feel around or use a mirror to remove it. Some people say to cleasn it with carb cleaner or something but i just replaced mine. 47 bucks from gmpartsdirect.com

Mechanical ability needed: very little, small arms: required. Also tie a piece of string to your wrech b/c if it falls back there it will never come back (just guess how i know ) It took me 2hours, oh wait 20 minutes if you dont have to go buy a new wrench

There is the EGR Pipe that connects from the passenger side exhaust to the intake manifold, but you don't need to remove that to change/clean the EGR Valve.
