How good are the restalled SLP or LT1Dave converters?
I know they sell them at around a 2800 stall speed. Restalled stock converters basically.
I talked to LT1Dave about his converters which are at 3000 stall, and he said they are just like the ones SLP sells, only a little looser.
Worth $300 from Dave for a 3k stall? I wouldn't buy from SLP, so I think Dave is the way to go and the price is right if the converter is decent. He offers a 6 month warranty too.

First of all dave is a stand up guy, and i would (and do) do business with him.
If you have a cam etc and need a convertor to have it be driven on the street, these will work great for you. However, they still are the stock STR, which means you dont get the huge torque multiplication you would get with a yank or something of the likes. If you want the bigger STR, dave is also a dealer for midwest (i think thats who it was) and can get some nice prices on them too.
