Thats exactly what I have on my car. A dual outlet muffler on a the stock pipe. It sounds pretty good, aggressive and will pop sometimes as the revs drop. Flowmasters have no sound deadening material so they will be a little louder and have a differnent sound than some other mufflers on the market such as Dynomax or Hooker. You can definately hear it at idle and when you step on the gas, but when youre crusing the muffler is pretty quiet. You have to get to about 2000rpms before muffler start making noticable noise inside the car.

People will tell you flowmasters dont flow that well etc. but if you can get one at a decetn price, Id say go ahead and throw it on. It might not help, but it definately wont hurt performance and youll have pretty good sounding car.

I have one on my car, and it sounds pretty good. It's not quite aggressive enough for me (I run an open cutout ALL the time), but it has a nice deep sound that will get attention but not scream under throttle. Idle sounds nice too. I say go for it.

I just got mine put on yesterday, i was expecting it to be a little louder. At idle it sounds about the same except maybe SLIGHTLY louder and deeper. I havnt had much time to go cruise with it and see how loud it is at WOT but its not as loud as i hoped for.

But thats just my excuse now to get headers!

yes they do make a difference. i changed from manifolds to shorties and a y-pipe only, and it got louder and nicer sounding to me. im in the process of putting on LTs at the moment and the y-pipe will change too. cant wait to see what kind of difference it makes.

in most cases headers just change the pitch of the sound. not the overall loudness.. a different sounding exhaust may lead you to belive its louder.. ( not saying it cant get louder) its just not the most common thing in the world

I have a flowmaster that came on the my car when I bought it. It has a pretty nice sound. Basically what Steve said. I know that when the time comes, I will swap it out for something better, since there are other fbods I hear on the streets that I like hearing more than mine.(or, I'll just get a cutout when the cash flows in)
