Are you just removing the pulley or the hub, too. I know of 3 bolts but not 4.

The question remains whether you are removing only the pulley or the hub, too.

Sounds like he's just trying to remove the underdrive pulley that sits behind the stock pulley. All I've ever had to do to take my pulleys off was to remove the 3 bolts and wiggle them a bit. Try a little WD40 and let it sit for a bit. It should just slip off after that.

I just used a 3 pring pulley on a buddys car last night. It is the same puller that I use for my timing gear. I know its probably not the right one, but it works. He said it was tight, and he could not do it, but when I got there it was tight, and i just kept cranking. Pulley came off. It gets pretty tight cause it is on there good.

Don't try to knock the pulley off!! Use a puller.
