How to get 400 hp from 93 LT1?

I have a 93 LT1 I am planning on putting in my 89 IROC, and would like around 400 hp

could I do it with cam , heads, headers/exhaust and tuning?
it will get a full rebuild(bore/hone, ect.,)
anything special I should do to the lower end?
I may spray it some in the future

Do you want 400rwhp or 400 crank hp?

400 crank hp is pretty easy to obtain. Full exhaust, a mild cam, and decent heads should get you there. If you're gonna spray it in the future go ahead and go with some forged internals so you can hit it with a pretty big shot.

good ported heads, like some from advancedinduction and then a good cam will get you close to 400rwhp.

It would probably take around 500 flywheel horsepower to get 400 at the wheels. Either way you will need some decent heads, either stock ported or a good aftermarket one.

You could get around 400 flywheel horse with Boltons and an LT4 hot cam or equivalent. Cam and headers are a must for this much power. For example, a set up like this would make around 400hp. LT4 hot cam kit, Headers, a cold air kit (The cam and headers will cost you the most money but they are important). Then port the MAF, do a TB bypass, 160 stat, comp tuning, !cat, a good muffler, CSI water pump. These mods only cost me about 500 bucks and were worth every penny. It all depends on where you shop. Don't waste your money on a throttle body or an aftermarket MAF.

cam, headers, a LTs along with most of the bolt-ons will get you there.

Cam such as the CC306, XE 230/236, GM 847, and GOOD heads (Advance Induction, Lloyd Elliot, Joe Prince Racing come to mind), and all the bolt ons and you're there.
