Angry how to get the 3 front bolts out to remove the catalytic on a 93 Z28 ?

Ok I was going to gut my cat on my car, got the bottom bolt out (on the front of the cat, 3 bolt flange) but there was no way I could get to the upper ones. Is there a trick to doing this?

3 bolt flange? You mean on the y-pipe or the catalytic? The stock catalytic only has 2 bolts on the rear flange. There is no front flange unless you're talking about the y-pipe, which has 2.

mine has a 3 bolt flange on the front. I have AS&M headers... so it might be different than stock? But its a 3 bolt flange on the y-pipe, connected to a 3 bolt flange on the front of the cat. Still has the 2 bolt flange setup on the back of the cat

Don't gut the cat. It'll sound like ***.

Replace it with a straight pipe.
