Question How fast should my modified car go

I just finished my car a couple days ago. The main mods I have are:

stage II heads
CC306 ported heads
hooker LT's
True 3"dual exaust
1.6rr
3.73 rear
BFG slicks
Programming done by one of the best programmers in the board-madwolf

Disadvantage-car has 100k miles, stock bottom

Non performance related
30lb/hour injectors
255 fuel pump

I drove the car yesterday, and if felt that the car had some power, but it probably needs some more tuning, especially my roller rockers. One friend who was in the car and has a mustang 5.0 said that the car was in low 13's, and that got me a bit mad. I read that CC306 should make all the power in higher RPM's, and I never reved the car to more than 3000 RPM yet, maybe that's why I cannot feel all the power? What would be a good estimate of my car's horsepower?

Tomas

It's topspeed would be really fast if you had 2.73s

Why didn't you rev it higher than 3000? There's nothing to break in with a head/cam swap...You need to properly heat cycle your new valve springs, but thats about it The CC306 doesn't start making power till about 3000 or 3500, so you definitely haven't felt its power yet. Go take it to 6500 and tell us how it goes

12.4s at 113ish is my guess depending on traction traps/ET could vary a lot.

Oh and if you wanna feel some power put it in second on a nice long road with no traffic. Then pounce all over the loud pedal about 40mph, with that cam 3.73's you'll be to the top of 3rd gear before you know what happened.

the cc306 will pull like a madman from about 4000-6700. you should have a mid to low 12 second car if you can drive and have a good clutch. you probably didn't even get close to your powerband. my brother in law, smoke t/a made like 395rwhp with the cc306 and some home ported heads. hope this helps.

thanks for making me feel better. The only reason I didn't rev the car
higher than 3000 RPM was of my new gears in the rear end. Also, I am still a
bit scared about something going wrong for my new setup. If I will have
enough patience, I will drive my car under 70mph for 200 more miles. I hope
to be somewhere close to bad95z28 brother in law (395 rwhp)

Tell that Mustang guy to go back to his Rustang and learn how to drive his wet dreams to pull a 13 with it.

Bring the car over sometime this weekend and I'll show what it's made of.

i got pretty much the same setup as you.i took it easy the first week (as youre doing), second week a bit rougher, and after that just let er rip i know everyone says "its alright" to beat on it right away, but i figure why even bother taking the risk at all??take it easy for a bit, make sure everythings alright, running good, etc. then go whip your buddys 5.0 enjoy
